Mayra Pacheco

Prior to PCANV, Mayra worked in different student and family serving organizations. During their time working in schools, Mayra developed and implemented multiple programs to empower students to stay in school and achieve in life. Their focus has been on fostering healthy family relationships, youth leadership development, and strengthening literacy curriculum for English Language Learners. Mayra also served in the Latino Youth Leadership Conference for over ten years. The LYLC is a five-day conference housed at UNLV designed to increase college-bound rates among Latinxs, while also developing their leadership skills. Mayra strongly believes in educating and providing the tools necessary to build resilient and healthy relationships that begin at home and extend to our community and beyond.
